Subject: possible worms?

I have a sick little girl who is almost 6 yrs old. She has been vomiting
every once in a while. The first round was several months ago. She
couldn't keep anything down. I took her to the vet after a couple of days
of this. The vet did a barium round of x-rays and found a very slight
possible mass, but wasn't sure if it was just stomach folds. Bell had
lost so much weight and was so weak that I couldn't do exploratory
surgery. We put her on antibiotics and subQ fluids, and anti-emetics.
She eventually improved after a couple of weeks, but every so often she
vomits again. She hasn't really put any weight back on, but she is better
hydrated and the vomiting is only once every couple of weeks, and usually
only once. But she still isn't back to herself and I'm trying to figure
out what else it could be. Someone suggested ulcers, but then someone
else said that wouldn't cause vomiting. We picked up a bit of a flea
problem, and she was around my dog who had fleas and had tapeworms. Is it
possible that she got worms from the fleas, or from my dog? Would that
cause her to throw up? She eats and eats and eats now and drinks plenty
too. Her energy is pretty good most of the time as well. Any thoughts
would be great!
Thanks,
Cynthia, Bell, Funk and Rascal
