Quick note: carafate is made to "blossom" if it is just placed in a
little water; it just takes a tiny while -- maybe 30 seconds to a
couple of minutes. It breaks up more thoroughly that way than
when it is broken or crushed. (Steve has to take it at times and
people just put it in a little water and wait then drink it; it wasn't till
we broke ones for the ferrets that we realized how much longer it
takes to break up if it is broken or crushed first. I think the
caplets may be designed to have "cappilaries" that unfortunately
close with crushing or breaking.)
