Louie?

After losing our Luna in September, her close buddy, Slim, became ill. Our vet
felt that it was because he was missing her and was developing an ulcer. he
really started to act depressed when a new ferret came to live with us. We
started giving him pepto bismol and the chicken baby food recipe, as well as
pouring lots of attention of him. since then, he has gained over a half pound
and is back to himself. He has taken to being attached to a new girl in the
household and is doing quite well. this is really the first time we have ever
experienced one ferret being so attached to another. After Luna's death, Slim
would just pace back and forth around her "sick cage" and act as if he were
looking for her. We had to move everything that we felt smelled like her out of
the house. I am happy to report that Slim is doing fabulous now and back to
being the "boss" of the house.
