Subject: A request from the moderators
Hi everyone!
We are spending an incredible amount of time removing excessive
quotes from posts. The rule of thumb in quoting a message you are
replying to is that "the quoted text should never be more of your post
than your reply."
Excessive quoting makes the digest version of the FHL very bulky and
wastes bandwidth. Not to mention how it slows down the archive search feature.
One or two sentences to remind us of what you are
responding to is appropriate. Even more appropriate is to make sure
the subject line is Re: "the subject of the original post"
