The Book "Essentials of Ferrets" gives the dose as 0.5 to 2.0 mg/kg
q8-12h. The bottle of childrens diphenhydramine is usually 25 mg/tsp. I
give my ferrets 0.4 ml/kg or 1 mg per 2.2 pounds twice daily.

I am not a vet.
