Subject: Packer won't eat, has dark green slimy poop/ test results/
VET PLEASE
A week ago today, Packer went to the vet because he wasn't eating & had dark
green slimy looking poop. The vet thought he felt something that could be a
blockage so he operated. He didn't find anything wrong except an enlarged
spleen, which he contributed to fighting something in the body. He stayed
over night so he could have fluids & antibiotics. If he wasn't eating by
the next day he was to have some tests done. Apparently he started eating,
so he came home.
He did not want to eat here, even duck soup. I could only get him to lick a
tiny bit off my finger.
He went back for blood tests. The doctor said that he had a few abnormal
counts but nothing to worry about. Then he started eating his dry food on
his own. He would eat some duck soup but not much. I thought he was ok
since he was eating the dry food. Now he has stopped again & once more he
has dark green slimy poop. He went to get his stitches out today & the vet
wasn't concerned about him because he hasn't lost any weight. I just
managed to get him to eat a tiny bit of Gerber Chicken w/gravy.
I don't know what is wrong with him, what he can be checked for.
