Subject: Questions about duck soup

Lucy still won't eat her own food but is thriving on the duck soup. I
have doubled the amount now (two cubes at a time) which she eats well.
First question is: when she gets to the bottom of the bowl there is a
lot of gritty stuff left over. Am I mixing it wrong or is that normal?
I use softened IAMS, chicken baby food, Ferretvite, and heavy whipping
cream (I add that seperately). I whip it up in the blender for several
minutes so it should be well blended. Also, I am wondering how to tell
when I should start weaning her off the duck soup and back on to her dry
food. And also how do you wean a ferret off the duck soup? She seems
to be doing a lot better in the last week or so, much more energy and
playfulness. I have also been giving her Timmy's Tonic which may be
helping with her energy level. She still seems somewhat dehydrated so I
have been adding more water to her duck soup each time. I also add some
pedialyte to the duck soup too.

Thanks! Barb, Lucy, Greta & Bailey
