Dr. Williams is correct. Blind conjecture without supporting evidence
is foolhardy on my part.
The thing to take away from this is that one of my guys sustained a
*nasty* knock to the nose and is none the worse for it. As Dr.
Williams stated, it is highly unlikely that a bump on the nose caused
the death of your friend's ferret. I know your friend wants to blame
himself right now, so please reassure him that nothing he did killed
his little girl. In fact, he acted admirably well, reacting
immediately to get her professional care when something went wrong.
