Subject: Re: ROOT CANAL vs. EXTRACTION

I'm not sure what a fang is? Is that the same as a canine?

My Chester (age unknown) had a tooth extracted on Monday. It was an
upper tooth all the way at the back. When the vet looked at it he
said that he felt Chester would be fine with extracting it and
wouldn't have problems eating. I have him on warmed Gerber's chicken
baby food for a few days. He seems to be recovering fine.

I guess it depends on what tooth it is. In Chester's case, I had the
choice of an extraction or a root canal. The extraction was about
$70. A root canal would have run $400-500. Though cost was not THE
determining factor, I was glad that he could have the cheaper
procedure done.
