Sounds like the little guy really needs a good home. I personally
would be concerned about the possibility of him bringing ECE to your
ferrets. I assume that since you asked, they have never had ECE?
Since baby ferrets are a major cause of introducing ECE into
households, and because it's believed ferrets who have had ECE may
actively pass on the virus for six months or more, he's at an age
where he could still be a risk to your ferrets.
I wouldn't be as concerned about the age difference, though he is at
a very active age and Mandy or Buster may not appreciate it if he
harasses them endlessly.
It's a tough decision for sure.
