Hey Folks,
I have been getting so paranoid with all I have been
reading about the health problems of Marshalls ferrets (all ferrets
really) that I have decided to do all I can to help my 3 Marshalls
babies get and stay healthy. If it doesn't work it doesn't work but
at least I know I tried my best. I need to know thoughts on what I
am doing.
They eat a combo of Ultimate 8 in 1, T.F.S. Superior Choice
and ZuPreem.
I just started supplementing them with Veterinarian's Best Ferret's
Finest Healthy Coat Essential Oils-Omega 3 and 6, and vitamins A and
E (I am mindful of the Vit A concerns, this is Essential fatty acids
of fish oil, lecithin, vitamin E, liver oil and beef liver flavor.
The label states 200 I.U.'s of vit A per full teaspoon-they get
about 1/4 teaspoon. Every few days as a treat. Never on the days
they get Ferretvite (which I know has Vit A) As well as a little
bit of Nupro dry supplement (kelp, flaxseed, primary grown yeast,
bone meal, lecithin, bee pollen, garlic concentrate, desiccated
liver, and lactobacillus acidophilus, this also has lecithin added)
This label states to add about 1-2 teaspoons to feed daily, however
I know they are getting much less cause I just shake it up with
their dry food, like shake and bake. They all absolutely love these
two products.
OK now am I doing too much? Too much lecithin? I had
noticed that the guys had started to scratch recently-I thought
perhaps from the cold weather and dry heat. Naturally they get out
to play daily and are taken to the vet routinely too.
I would love any thoughts or suggestions please.
Thanks so very much,
Mary Ann
