I am not sure if they do get an unusual amount. Anything is more likely to get malignancies with advanced age (and ferrets have about 1/10th the years that we do), but one other thing that has happened often in the ferret world is that some things which aren't cancers get called "cancers". Now, you suffered a little one with lymphoma which really is a malignancy, but it is reassuring to read past posts of definitions of "cancer" using the search engine at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ferret-Health-list, esp. one of Vet, Bruce Williams' posts which I have repeated for all maybe three times so far in posts of mine. You will notice that much of what is called "cancer" simply is not...
