One of the things no one has mentioned here is that if the kit had just been
vaccinated recently, that sometimes the test comes back positive and its not
really positive, because its the vaccine that caused it to show positive. I
remember back when Judy (White Russian's mom first started testing ferrets
that this topic was brought up by some of the people back east that had been
testing their ferrets.) You should wait to test for ADV if you have just
recently vaccinated your ferrets.
I do agree that we should not rush to the conclusion that this kit is
positive until the test has been done a few times. I also have heard that a
ferret can test positive one time and then negative the next time or negative
one time and the next time test positive.
