If it doesn't appear to be healing in a day or two, it should
probably be removed. Neoplasms on the skin are not that uncommon
with ferrets but they're usually benign. My Spaz has one that has
appeared on the back of his neck and it will be removed this week.
Out of all the ferrets I've had, only Penny has not had a growth that
needed to be removed.
