Subject: Adrenal hair regrowth

Hi folks. A quick question on Adrenal hair regrowth. If a ferret has
surgery to have one Adrenal Gland removed, will his hair grow back if he is
still Adrenal?

I have one poor guy (5 1/2 MF male) who has had adrenal surgery, removal of
Adeno Carcinoma and a complete PU three months ago. He's a bit stinkier
than before the surgery and I'm not sure if it could have something to do
with the PU or if he is Adrenal again. I spoke with his vet who said he
would be more leaning toward the adrenal theory because of the smell. But
since then Critter's hair is filling pretty well. The surgery was in
November and his hair is well on it's way to grown back, it's pretty
consistant hair growth, not really patchy. His behavior is normal, he's a
little bit on the sleepy and lazy side, but he has always been like that.
His weight is back up to normal (2.5 lbs) for my scrawny guy!

Before I start sinking more money into this just due to my own obessive,
neurotic weasle watching, I figured I'd ask the hair regrowth question
first.
