Yes. The lack of testing is a valid problem. Now, some folks
say, "Well, there isn't that much ADV out there.", or "The things
we are seeing aren't from ADV so we don't test for it.", but that
creates a self-proving prophesy since if they don't test they can't
know if they are encountering it or in what numbers. There is a
saying attributed to the Canadian anthropologist, Birdwhistle,
"Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence." It's a
reasonable argument for testing, and when there is cause then
re-testing. Some things can be known with careful work.
Proving some other things is as easy as getting toothpaste back
into the tube, or pushing on a string.
