Subject: safe pain reliever

Okay, so it is my understanding that Tylenol and ibuprofen are not
considered safe in ferrets. Is there a non-prescription pain
reliever that is safe? My vet had once allowed baby aspirin (I can't
remeber the dosage) when my ferret was severely burned by a heating
pad. At that time I was very concerned about ulcers, but he really
needed somehting for the pain.

Any info would be appreciated.
