Subject: Re: Mast Cell tumor, (ADDED QUESTION for expert advice)

I have an added question in realtion to this. From what I have
read much of the discomfort of mast cell tumors is due to
histamine release. If so, are there any anti-histamine topical
applications that might be effective for quality of life approaches
such a this one? Oral Benedryl is safe i nthe right amounts; is
topical Benedryl? Would such a thing possibly help or is the
release too deep for a topical application to help? If that wouldn't
help would a cortizone cream and if so which type for safety's
sake? Is my recollection of this part of what goes wrong
incorrect, or is it inconsistent with latest data?
