Subject: Post Surgery Tips were very helpful-Bandit is doing just
fine
Thank you to everyone who gave me suggestions on pre-surgery
and post-surgery tips for my little guy.
I picked him up yesterday after his surgery and he was alert
and happy to see us!
His incision is very clean looking and they used the
continuous stitching method, (which someone nicely suggested
that I request) he had the adrenal tumor removed and they said
everything else looked healthy with no other issues arising
once they opened him up. Thank you everyone who advised not
to wait until he was really suffering, the vet advised that he
will recover more quickly and completely because he was in
really good shape prior to surgery.
I am lucky enough to have my buddy sleeping safely in his cage
and on the mend as well as being lucky to find a ferret-loving
vet who gave me a huge discount and my total bill for
everything from the office visit, surgery and medicine was
$251.98.
That was worth the hour drive to this vet instead of my local
vet whose estimate was $875.00!
To celebrate, when I get my tax refund, I am going to donate
some time and funds to help another who may not have the funds
to pay for their pets surgery. I thought everyone could use
some good news, as there are so many other fuzzies who dont
make out as well no matter how much we love and care for them.
