We had it here years ago -- came in with a ferret from a store
who had been sold and returned.. We had to give everyone
Albon, if memory serves. The petstore wasn't going to do
anything so the breeder and the state checked them out and they
had multiple medical problems found and were banned from
selling mammals for six months, and had to treat and place the
ones they had. Thatw as about 7 years ago so memory is fuzzy.

I do recall that putting dollop of Nutrical on the noses before
dosing let us get it in easily.

Years back there was that mutant strain that Dr. Bruce Williams
did the pathology on. That strain seems to have died off from
good health procedures (No ferrets in, no ferrets out, treat all.) in
the few locations where it appeared. It was not highly
contagious but was highly fatal in those which got it.
