Subject: Vets in NJ

Hey Dr Ruth, Et a
Oh well, too bad for me you are so far away. Anyhow--it is certainly
true there are many excellent vets in NJ-but finding a really good vet with
Ferretese has been a little bit of a challenge--in my area anyway---Never
fear however--I found him today---- only about 35 minutes away--and I am so,
so pleased. He even gave me a discount for multi-- pet. He was
wonderful---and his tech was well, Incredible-How handy that she runs an ADV
shelter!!! I could not possibly be more pleased. Very reasonably
priced-very knowledgeable--very thorough----he even drew the blood for me and
I shipped it myself to Avecon. He only charged me $8 a baby to take the
blood. I am very happy. Anthony and Ferris were perfect little
gentlemen---Lulu (AKA China) however took 2 techs and the Dr to draw blood.
Never, ever did she attempt to bite (I am proud of her) how ever she was the
Queen of twist and contortions---it really took a good 1o minutes---at least
she is good and strong and has VERY well clotting blood! Oh, about the blue
thing on Ferris' nose--he thought it might be a SCT but advised me to watch
it for any changes--it might also be a cat slap---which does go on in this
place. Oh--and here is my absolute favorite part --he discovered mites in
all their ears!!! Which naturally means I must treat the cats (one is an
untouchable, curses!!!!) What troubles me about that is I paid $12 a pop to
have all their ears checked when I first brought Lulu home 3 weeks ago--and
was told no mites.
Well, live and (hopefully) learn
Thanks
Mary Ann
