Yes, I neglected to mention that the $100 I quoted was for 1 mg of
the four month Lupron. But in my experience this has been more than
enough to achieve the desired results. I've even had good results
with 150 mcg per month. I would be inclined to try the 1 mg dosage
first, and if results aren't seen within that four month period, then
go for the larger and more expensive dose the next time around.
On the other side, one of my ferrets required the initial dose to be
larger and once the symptoms subsided, the dosage were backed down.
That was Beasley, who showed no response to 150 mcg, but responded
quickly to 300 mcg. After that, we were able to return to the 150
mcg dosage (one month Lupron) successfully.
