I think that with a male I would stick to the schedule since the
urinary problems from prostate enlargement that can arise are
so bad, and I would also medicate with meds such as Dr. Jery
Murray mentioned in a past post IF the treating vets thought it
was time to try those.
With a female I'd wait for symptoms unless there was some
reason not to.
