Well, they aren't really usually as prone to problems as it may
seem.

Yes, like you. we have had times when we had a clump of bad
fortune, but we've had the opposite, too, over the years.

Ferrets compress all the things that we have in our longer lives
into a short 7 or 8 years typically. That can be hard to deal with.
It's especially hard when there are multiple ferrets of similar
ages in one family. Too much goes wrong at once.

I know what you mean about IBD; we've got a boy with it, too. It's
a matter of trying things till something works best for that
individual, but some like your little one and our's just never really
get a true remission.

The frustrations can be great, as can the pain, but you know -- if
they weren't so absolutely wonderful we wouldn't care. The
reason it hurts is because they are as much WORTH our tears
as they are worth our laughter.
