Katharine,
The advice I was given via the shelter I volunteer at and from
attending several of the past symposiums for ferrets was to test with
a variety of the tests. For instance, in 2/01, I tested with United,
in 6/01, with Avecon mail in, in 8/01 with the POCT and in 11/01 with
Avecon mail in. This helped me with truly believing my ferrets were
negative since they tested negative in all the tests. Since I attend
shows, I do test more frequently than typical. I'd suggest that if
you tested with Avecon last time, and there were no questionable
results, to test with United six months later and rotate that way.
Just my suggestion though.
