Hello Bronwyn,
Yesterday I answered your question about the
'hairloss' from neutering your ferret! It is perfectly
normal for him to lose his hair and completely 'blow'
his coat! The hormonal change causes this to happen
and once all the hair comes out he will have a coat of
another color and less 'odiferous'!!!
You should try to get LAXATONE, PETROMALT(a CAT
laxative) or a product similar, so that you can help
the hair keep moving thru the stomach to prevent
hairballs, also give to your other ferrets incase they
have ingested some of the hair also!
The coughing may be due to the excess hair causing
some irritation to the mucuos membranes, however if
you are wondering if the shot may have caused it, I
will leave that for a vet to reply to!
I do believe that your question about vaccinations
for Australia, was answered sometime ago, by a vet, to
someone else inquiring of the same info., so I am sure
someone here can help you!---Angela.
