Subject: Diarrhea again
Hello
My ferret had diarrhea and lost weight and has been on Albon(2m),
Amoxil(1m), Peptobismol(2m) for 2 weeks (1 more week to go). His
feces got better and he started to eat his new ferret food but now he
has stopped eating the ferret food and Duck Soup and has diarrhea
again.
2 weeks ago his feces and blood work was in normal range. He will
eat Gerber food from my finger and Cheerios.
What should I do now? Keep feeding him Gerber food and wait until
he is off the meds before taking him to the vet or should I take him
to the vet now.
How long can a ferret stay on Gerber food?
What do you think the next step would be? Exploratory Surgery or
different meds?
