Subject: Canine teeth puncturing mouth

Just looking for some advice from someone who has experience
with something like this...my ferret has a severe underbite
which has caused his left lower canine and right upper canine
to grown into his mouth and puncture significant holes. I
took him to my vet, she put him on an antibiotic to prevent
infections and called another vet who specializes in animal
dental problems. Here are my options: 1) pulling the teeth,
2) putting pulp caps on the teeth, or 3) orthodontics.

I have an appointment with the specialist this week but wanted
to hear feedback from someone who has been through this or who
is familiar with this type of problem. I'd like to hear the
pros and cons of each option. I'm leaning towards pulling the
teeth as I was told that the success rate of a pulp cap was
one in five and I'm not sure I want to put my ferret through
lengthy orthodontic work. Any advise would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
