Subject: Why test for ADV?

Let's say your ferret starts with hind leg weakness,
gets sick and by knowing he has ADV you kind of know
why he is sick and can save some money on tons of
tests, or you can know what to expect and how to treat
him if he is ill. You still have to look for common problems,
but if everything is negative you may elect not to keep testing
for other things.
Maybe you would think twice about bringing in a new ferret
and exposing that one to the disease if you know your guys
have it, and maybe you would be careful not to bring them
out or yourself play with other ferrets without changing first, etc

Maybe the postive ferrets can be traced back to a certain store
or breeder and steps can be made to try to stop them, or
make the public aware of the problem.

You would love him all the same.
