Be sure to consider deafness in severe biters. They may act like they
hear but could be following cues from other ferrets, catching the site of
shadows or feeling vibrations. Many times these little ones are grossly
mislabeled as biters or untrainable. Try standind a fair distance behind
him in a room without any other ferrets and jingle keys. Make sure there
are no shadows present. Does he respond? If he is deaf then you will
need to train him in a way he will understand that biting is not
acceptable. If he isn't then we'd need to figure out why he bites before
we can work on a gentle training technique.

Hugs to all. tle
