Subject: Hi ! from Karin and her ferret in Holland

Hi, everyone !!

I desparately need your help !
I'm living in the Netherlands and own one 6-year-old male ferret.
Since his 6th birthday (in Dec., 2001), he's become very weaker
than ever and just recently he got low-bloodsuger fit.
He is now in vet's clinik so that vet can watch wether he's going
better with some medical therapy.
But, unfortunately the vet is not very knowledgeble about
ferrets and other exotic animals.....

Tomorrow he's coming back to my home, and I would love to take
a very good care of him, especially love to feed him carefully.

In Holland, I cannot find various ferret foods. Only one I've found is 'Hope
Farms FerRet'. Its nutiritious analysis is as follows:

raw protein 34.0 %
raw fet 17.0 %
raw cellulose 1.7 %
Mineral 7.6 %
Vit. A 30.000 I.E./kg
Vit. D3 1.500 I.E./kg
Vit. E 300 mg/kg

I wonder if the amount of raw protein is good enough and fet is less enough.
How percent of protein, fet and fiber is recommended for a ferret with
insulinome/bloodsuger problem?
On the other hand, various well-known good quality cat foods are
available here. Should I give him some cat foods for senior cats ?

I appreciate your advice !!!
