Subject: Lymphoma
I'm sorry I haven't let you all know this earlier but this is
the first chance I've had to let you all know. I got the
necropsy results yesterday and it turned out that Bonnie (my
little girl who was actually a male) had intestinal lymphoma
cancer. That's what killed her.
I do have a question about this as well. I did some research
on lymphoma last night while at work and I found a site that
says it can be viral and therefore slightly contagious. Is
this true? If so, I definately won't be getting another
ferret as a companion to Clyde even if he really needs one
(the only case in which we would get another one for quite a
while anyway). My vet said that it isn't but I found this
info on the internet in a vet newsletter of sorts. I figured
it couldn't hurt to ask about this. And thank you all again
for all of your support. I'm saving all your emails on this
for my hubby to read when he returnes from his deployment.
Hopefully they can help him too.
