Hello Danee,
Just thought I should mention that when giving
pred. it should always be given with food and babyfood
is an excellent choice, as it is easily assimilated
and digested, that way the ferret will obtain the
needed protein to level off the blood glucose quickly!
Your ferret should still be eating her kibble of
choice inbetween, so the babyfood should not upset the
'applecart' so to speak! It is harder and slower for
her to get the needed protein into her system by
eating just kibble alone, when stricken with
insulinoma! Just like a person with low blood sugar,
they need protein to keep the sugar elevated!
