Subject: Re: 5 Month old balding ferrets

The hair loss is almost complete. There are a few long black hairs on
their back but most is just skin. They lost it in about 1 week and it
extends from the sholder down to just the top of the tail where it
connects to the body. All of the undercoat is gone in these areas. Is
there any topical medication I can put on the skin to help the
problem? The only other thing I did not mention is we had just gotton
them a new hanging round ferret tent. I didn't wash it before I put
it in. Also their old hamock was washed with Sun Free soap. Cheap non
allergy deturgent.
