Unfortunately, although it is uncommon, I have seen adrenal disease
in ferrets as young as four months of age. If there is no obvious
skin pathology, I would recommend that you have the Tennessee Panel
run to check their adrenal hormones. Look for allergic or parasitic
causes, of course, too.
