I agree with what everyone else has recommended so far, but I'd also take
them to the vet and have them looked at. They might have something like
mites or ringworm. It's very unlikely both came down with adrenal at
5months simultaneously but not impossible. If you and the vet can't figure
it out, you could have the Estradiol levels tested just to see what they
say. The pattern of hair loss and the way the skin looks sure sounds like
adrenal. Very strange. I find it hard to believe regular shedding would
show pink skin, especially in a ferret that young.
