I would think the new baby has brought some illness home and in addition to
normal stress, your 2-year-old is *sick*. I've seen this over and over
again. It seems like the new ferret brings in something the older has never
been exposed to, or perhaps due to stress developes illness due to some
virus or infection.

If a ferret is showing half-closed eyes, I'd take them to the vet asap. Is
she dehydrated? Is she pooping? What does the poop look like? If she is
vomiting and having the runs, dehydration is almost a certainty. I've heard
of ferrets getting depressed and not eating as a reaction to a new ferret,
but I've never heard of one vomiting because of it. (It's possible, but I
think it's unlikely)
