Subject: Re: stress

Sometimes the stool with ECE isn't even green, let alone neon. I'd
say this is a classic case of ECE brought in by a new, baby ferret.
We've all heard this story dozens of times before. A baby ferret is
introduced and about 48-72 hours the other ferrets in the house come
down with vomiting (not always and usually just the first day),
diarrhea (green or otherwise), won't eat, eyes watery and half-
closed, etc., etc.

I think it's obvious a vet visit is in order to rule out any other
possibility, but if nothing else can be found, then ECE is the most
likely problem.

Dehydration is a serious issue here, so don't wait to get Fig in.
Feel her gums and if they're dry or sticky instead of slippery/slimy,
she's dehydrated. Stock up on chicken baby food... you're going to
need it.

but I read it described as 'neon' green. She is more lethargic, that
could be either attributed to stress or sickness... I welcome
opinions.
