Subject: Prednisolone for ear polyp?
Hello
My ferret Rose had a small painful growth in her ear and my vet removed
(cauterised) it today, she said it was a polyp. It was a strange looking
growth, I hadn't been able to clean Rose's ears as something hurt her a lot
and eventually I saw the growth. My vet said it may grow back and she has
prescribed prednisolone for Rose for some reason, 1mg per day for a week,
then 1mg on alternate days for the second week. Would the pred help stop
the growth from coming back? I'd rather check before putting Rose on
tablets that may not be necessary... Rose is 2 1/2 years old.
