Thanks Dr. Murray for answering my email regarding giving ferret Melantonin
the same time you are giving the ferret Lupron.
No, Sassy was not chosen to be in the Adrenal study program. There were too
many in much worse shape then she was. She did have an ultrasound and you
could tell that there was a small adrenal tumor beginning. I am not exactly
sure why she wasn't chosen. Anyway, I decided I would try the Lupron, since
I had not seen any improvement with the Melantonin, but them I have to admit
I was not always consistent in giving it everyday at the exact same time. So
far her Vulva has not decreased in size. So that's why I decided to try
again the Melantonin even thou its not time to give her another Lupron
injection. Is it the hormones that cause the Vulva to increase? Is there
more of a chance of a ferret getting a urinary infection because of her Vulva
being enlarged? I notice she seems to sleep more then she use to, is this
because of the Adrenal tumor or is it because of the Melantonin?
