Subject: Ribbon: Adrenal recurrence Post Surgery (6mos.)

My first post to this excellent forum. Thanks in advance for all the
help/advice for my five kids that I have recieved.
Ribbon is a five year old, "Canadian bred-CDC", albino, insulinomic
for the past two years. She is currently on .50 PredX2. During the
partial pancreatotomy this past July, she was also debulked on both
left and right adrenals.

Vet stated that he has never "seen", a right adrenal gland "so
small", that it was a rather unnerving experience. He removed all
suspect tissue that he could.

I want to begin Lupron therapy,ASAP! Vet said to wait a few weeks
and see the progression of symptoms - Ribbon is already losing much
fur, has a slightly swollen vulva and is most definately exhibiting
aggresive behaviour.

Should I begin Melatonin in the interim? I will be contacting her
Vet next week for Lupron depot.

Many thanks,
Karen

Ribbon needs Lupron depot, in my opinion, Vet says we can wait at
least a few (?) more weeks, although he is willing to begin at my
request.

I trust him; how much longer can I wait, as not to compromise her
condition any further? ]
