Hi Betty,
I don't know if the following will be of any help in your situation (it
seems that removal of the tumor is necessary after drug therapy), but
PetEdunation has an article about Carravet (trademark) Acemannan
Immunostimulant. If the url (included below) doesn't work you can go to the
home page and click 'News and Views', then December 2000. The info is based
on use in cats and dogs, but maybe your vet (or those from the list) could
tell you if it is safe for/can be used in ferrets, or if it could help w/out
surgery.
