Hair loss from adrenal disease is typically very gradual. In every
one I've had, it has always been so gradual that it's taken at least
a month before I was ready to admit that they were losing hair.

Where the hair loss begins can vary. Some begin losing it on the
rump, others across the shoulders or down the back and sides.
Sometimes the first place is the tops of the feet or insides of the
thighs. There's just no set place for it to start.

As for age, you might want to look at the results of an ongoing
adrenal survey I have on my website. So far, 940 people have
participated and the vast majority say their ferrets were between 2
and 5 years old.
