Subject: loss of hair on tail

A month ago I took in a rescue who came to me with rat
tail..her hair loss was only on the tail...no where else..the
vet said he thought it might have been a skin disease so he
gave her a shot (cant remember now what it was) A little of
the hair grew back but not much...all else appears to be
fine...can anyone help??? Marla
