Sounds like it might be what is called rattail. A lot of people are
beginning to think that is caused by a mite, like the ear mite. Might
the shot the vet gave her possibly have been ivermectin? My old Booger
had rattail for nearly 6 months. I tried all the acne products with
nothing working. His tail stayed covered with the blackheads. I recently
read that Revolution enters the blood stream thru the skin and comes
back out thru the
pores, so I tried it, half a puppy & kitten dose. Within a week the
blackheads were just washing off and he now has a pretty pink tail. I'm
hoping his next shed will bring his hair back. There is a little return
of short hairs already.
