Subject: Bell died yesterday
For those of you who gave me insight on Bell's condition, thank you. I
just wanted to let you know that the foreign body finally blocked her
intestine. I brought her to work and did surgery to remove it. She made
it through surgery, but I guess was too tiny to fight the effects of the
anesthesia, she woke up but was groggy, and then next thing I know she was
gone. She was almost 7 years old. Rascal and Funk and I will miss her
greatly. The foreign object was a little foam earplug. I guess they'll
nibble on anything. There were two chunks, one in her stomach, one lodged
in her intestine. She had been trying to pass it for a couple of days and
had diarrhea, so I was hopeful that she'd pass it successfully. Sunday
morning, I woke up and her upper abdomen was completely bloated, but her
lower belly was skinny, I knew it was stuck and rushed her to work and did
what I could. She's playing with Stinky and Keona now.
