I had problems with my kids moving litter pans around the cage, but
found a solution. Using a pair of pliers to hold a nail, I heat the
nail with a propane torch, and I use that to bore sets of 2 holes in
2 sides of the plastic litter pans. I then use pipe cleaners to tie
the litter pans in place in the cage.
As for digging in the litter - well, ferrets love to dig. And,kits
are especially prone to mischief. I use the squarer high back pans,
and that helps deter some of the "digging out" behavior, but does not
stop the determined ones.
Do you have any toys in the cage for hime to play with? Sometimes,
they just need something to entertain themselves.
