I've been using Feline Pine for probably 4 or 5 years and I like it a lot.
What most people say is bad are the wood shavings that still have oils in
them. Feline Pine is compressed under high heat and all the oils are
removed. (I used to do demos on the stuff and read all the literature on
it) My personal opinion is that the darker the wood, the more oils left in
it -- many people use Stove Chow (or similar products) and I use it mixed
with Feline Pine, but I feel that Feline Pine is a superior product
compared to Stove Chow. Stove Chow is *cheap*, though, which is why a lot
of people use it. The Feline Pine definitely does better on odor control
than products like Stove Chow.

None of my ferrets have ever tried to eat it.
