Subject: Re: Distemper or flu with bad skin problem....

This sickness did start with him sneezing on Sunday but by Monday
no sneezing at all. Just a high temp of 104.5. Vet number 1 on Monday
tested for mites and it showed positive. He did not want to treat
while sick.I used Tea Tree oil at home on his ears. (He didn't notice
the skin problem) Thursday vet number 2 ( a better one on the Star
list) looked under a microscope at them also and said no mites. No
skin scrapings were done. He did give the treatments for mites to him
anyway, just in case. He didn't start taking the better antibiotic
that is a broader spectrum to cover skin problems until Thursday
night. Maybe it hasn't kicked in yet? Thanks, I will check the site
out. He acted more normal today but looks bad from his skin problem.
He does seem better a little. He is fighting the eye medication like
a wild cat and still never miss's a meal. I did change his food to
Zupreem lately. I picked up a plastic plumbing pipe and connectors
for them to play in not to long ago also. If that matters. I didn't
think to clean the insides of them. He was in the dirt and grass in
my yard too.
