Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] Re: adrenal diagnosis/Lupron

Just a question regarding dosage of Lupron: Do you use the same dosage for EVERY ferret or do you use a different dosage of Lupron on different ferrets OR do you start at a low dosage and give higher dosages until you see that it is working. Thanks.

Good answer Mike.
Lupron stops the release of LH and FSH, which stops
the stimulation to the adrenal glands. Thus the adrenal
glands stop overproducing the sex hormones. No need
to worry about which specific hormone is being overproduced
when using Lupron.
